The Coal House of Point Pleasant Beach accepts reservations for parties as large as 50 people! We host parties for any occasion such as: rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, baptisms, birthdays.. you name it! We are also a ‘Bring Your Own’ restaurant so we allow you to bring your own: wine, beer, cakes, and desserts! We encourage decorations and our staff will be glad to assist you in decorating, or we can even do it for you!

I was looking for a vegan pizza place near me and I found this place. There isn't many vegan pizzerias in the area and I think I found an amazing new place. When ordering the lady on the phone was very nice. I ordered a a vegan plain small pie and my boyfriend and his family ordered a half meatball and half plain. They said it was very good and finished it all. For one large pie and one small vegan it was $32, honestly not bad at all. Considering covid-19 I liked to see when we pulled up they delivered it to our car and had a mask and gloves one. Definitely recommend giving it a try! Definitely will be back!!

03/14/20....Chose this place because it had over 250 positive reviews. Ordered the The Coal House Original Pizza. When it was brought to the table the edges/crust was a little burned but that was OK with us. We (me and my daughter) took a slice each But the slices were less than lukewarm and so i called the waitress and told her to take it back and have it put back in the oven and get it hot. Came back with it a couple of minutes later And the crust was even more burned and the pizza was as cold as before and the slices flopped down when holding them straight. Sorry but after this experience i cannot recommend this place and all the waitress could say is that she was sorry.

At Cheers everybody knew your name. At Coal House Bistro, everybody knows Frank. Great food every time you go. You almost feel bad eating everything on your plate, because you will wish you saved some for the next day.

Outstanding service, excellent food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, awesome location and do I need to say more? Will be back and back again. If you’re looking for a 5 star restaurant at a 3 star restaurants price, it doesn’t make sense to not go here. Specials are always good and the regular menu is to die for. Great job.

Outstanding restaurant with great food... From the pizza, to the wings and salads... Service is friendly, quick and and attentive... Definitely worth a visit Update- Went for dinner at the bistro side and let me tell you... It was worth every penny! The serving size was massive and the flavors were divine... Jess was a great server and the host Frank was friendly, accommodating and conversational... We will be back soon, the Italian nachos are calling!

Fantastic place, food is always consistently great. service is excellent. Chef Jimmy is a great guy, and a very experienced cook, his 18 hour gravy is to die for. Bring a nice bottle of wine and enjoy a great meal, you will return.

Terrible!! To start 2 of the 4 plates were dirty upon being seated. We order a original pizza and a kids chicken parmigiana with chocolate milk. Food comes out AN HOUR later, server says sorry were out of chocolate syrup. Pizza was bland, black and burnt, all you tasted was char. No cheese or spices on the table. Never had a chance to ask the waiter because he never came back. Kids chicken Parm was sitting on a bed of spaghetti with a inch of watery sauce, and it never came with the bread as it said so on the menu. The owner or manager (bad headed short guy) was rude as hell too! We will never go back!

Went there for dinner with my daughter thinking we would be in and out in about an hr not busy we sat Wright down. The salad we.ordered had way too much seasoning and the medium pizza we ordered never came out the waitress said oh sorry they have a lot of take out orders and it should be out soon we sat there for an hr and watched the pizza maker yes 1 pizza maker clean the oven and still no pizza. When I asked the manager for the check to pay for the salad and the drinks a girl who was not our waitress gave me an attitude. Should have went to Deninos.

The food here is super disappointing for the price. They overload it with salt to try and make it taste better, and the chicken murphy was especially rough. There are much better Italian restaurants around here - throw your business elsewhere.

Friendly spot to grab pizza. Feels like a real family operation. The pizza was tasty but I thought the bottom could be crispier. The house salad app was also real good. I will be back.

This was the worst food I had in my life. I was stuck in the bathroom for about an hour. However there was only one good thing there was a boy looked around the age of 13 gave good service

The staff was very rude food came out quick but was very burnt and not good at all. The only non rude staff member was the young blonde boy with glasses who gave us our drink. All the girls were giving dirty looks just because we asked for extra dressing. This was super over priced I do not recommend if you are here on vacation

I went there with my family, large party. First the girl at the front said 10-15 minutes. I went back 30 minutes later and an older bald headed guy said without looking at me and mumbling “you don´t even have a shot¨. Who says that to their customers. He said I don´t know how long. I said the girl had said 10-15 minutes. He said can’t you see people are still eating. Some of the people were seated after we got there. I will never go there and some of my friends will not be going there anymore.

Our pizza along with several other diners were served burnt pizza that were completely inedible!!! The servers were apologetic & new food was provided. The manager was an absolute jerk & completely unprofessional when we raised our concerns. He actually told us to just get out & not come back!!! We will take his advice & hope you do too!!!

BEST pizza in the area! HANDS DOWN! Wings and anything else they fire roast in their brick oven is AMAZING! You have to try them! Only downfall they have is it is BYOB! You MUST bring your own!

Absolutely delicious, the devil's food cake and ice cream roll was so tasty. Our meals were filled with flavour. A great date spot and for family. Excellent service, they were so kind and helpful. We brought our munchkin for his birthday and he had a great night.

I went with a bunch of friends tonight and was really impressed. Salads were fresh, pizza was crisp and tasty, and we treated ourselves to the dessert pizza which was delicious and light after a meal. You can tell that they use fresh and quality ingredients... that is the difference here. Great job! I am sure I will be back!

Service was not up to par. Waitress staff spent more time talking with each other instead of engaging with the customers. Took awhile to order our food. Also felt like they were clearing off table before we could finish. Just felt rushed . Also bathroom was very dirty . As far as the food, we had the pesto pie which was good but lacked flavor.

Great restaurant. The ambiance was awesome, the service was some of the best I’ve ever received, and we enjoyed our food! Open kitchen concept which was nice and the BYOB part is an added bonus. Forgot to get pictures when the food came out. The Jimmy Salad is great and very big, enough to share with at least 4 people, or bring home the extra !

We were in the area, dinner time came and we wanted pizza and Italian, and found the coal house. The pizza was great. Thin, a little chewy, and sauced and topped just right. Was a shot in the dark, and it was fantastic!! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Would go there again in a heartbeat

Great family fun. BYOB. You will like the pizza, we got a large with extra cheese. Their salads are very good too. Be sure to get the Nutella dessert pie, was spectacular. They take reservations for partys of six or more. Excellent service.
